About Dr. Celeste Quan
My Story
From a young age, I was surrounded by natural medicine. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine were my saving graces when I had severe childhood eczema and then again when I suffered from menstrual cramping. With the belief that every woman has a right to a positive and supportive birth, I am committed to serve women who are pregnant or planning their families with pre-conception, prenatal and postnatal care, as well as labour support for expecting mothers and their partners.
By combining my training as a naturopathic doctor and as a labour support, I am able to provide the opportunities that enable women and their families to have the happy healthy lives they envision.
In my family practice, I focus on general health optimization, and has special interest in women's health, fertility, pregnancy to postpartum care. I happily serve my community in Mandarin and French.
I am a registered naturopathic doctor with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), Alberta Association of Naturopathic Doctors (AAND) and the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA).

Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic medicine is an approach to treating the health of people based on its six core principles. It blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine, often favouring natural and low intensity interventions.
In naturopathic medicine, a person is treated as a whole, with symptoms seen as signals from the body that something is going on, either improper functioning of the body or repeated insults from the environment. Treatment is based on the belief that the body is capable of healing itself and interventions are used to stimulate and support the healing process.
I am able to incorporate the following therapies as a part of your treatment plan:
-
Clinical Nutrition
-
Lifestyle Counselling
-
Botanical Medicine
-
Nutrient Supplementation
-
Homeopathy
-
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
-
Bodywork Therapy
-
